Permanent Hymen Sewing
The genital aesthetic procedure applied for the repair of the torn hymen is called hymenoplasty, that is, hymenoplasty. The hymen is a thin or thick membrane about 1.5 to 2 cm inside the vagina. Since it is at the entrance of the vagina, the hymen can be damaged or damaged if the penis tip, finger or foreign objects are inserted. Bleeding may occur after the first sexual intercourse, usually in women. In some women, bleeding may not occur due to the flexible, thick structure of the hymen. This does not mean that the hymen does not exist.
One cannot tell from the outside whether the hymen has ruptured or not. In order to know for sure that the hymen has ruptured, a specialist gynecologist should be consulted.
It is possible to suture the hymen, i.e. repair it. It can be applied in two different ways depending on what the person wants.
These are Permanent and Temporary hymenoplasty.
Permanent hymen is applied by removing tissue with the flap method. There is no period of time given for you to have intercourse after permanent hymen sewing, whether you have intercourse after 7 days, after 5 months or after 3 years, bleeding will occur when you have your first intercourse after sewing. It is a painless procedure and takes about 20 minutes on average.
Another method of permanent hymen restoration is the ‘microsurgical’ procedure. Microsurgery can be performed by very few doctors. An exact replica of the hymen is made. Even during a gynecologist’s examination, the sewing is not noticed. There is always bleeding after the permanent hymen procedure. But there are things to be done in the first month to prevent bleeding.
These; movements that will strain the stitches such as straining, stretching movements should be avoided.
Temporary hymen is an operation performed by joining the two edges. This procedure takes only 10 minutes and is painless but lasts for 1 week. After 1 week, it opens and loses its function. Therefore, sexual intercourse must take place within 1 to 5 days for bleeding to occur. For this reason, temporary sewing is also known as pre-wedding sewing.
